A 51-year-old Murphysboro man escaped a one-vehicle rollover accident on Wine Hill Road west of Shiloh Hill Road on Tuesday with only minor injuries.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Anthony LaGrone was traveling eastbound on Wine Hill Road when the SUV he was driving ran off the right side of the road. LaGrone overcorrected, causing the vehicle to exit the left side of the road and overturn.
The vehicle landed on its wheels in a ditch. LaGrone, who was wearing his seatbelt, was not ticketed at the scene. The accident was reported at 3:19 p.m., with the Steeleville Police Department and the Campbell Hill Fire Department also responding.
