A 26-year-old Chester woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Steeleville on Oct. 24.
According to the Steeleville Police Department, 69-year-old Janet F. Robinson, of Murphysboro, was stopped facing south at the stop sign at North James Street at Broadway Street.
Police say Robinson, driving a 2012 Toyota hybrid, pulled out in front of an eastbound 1996 Mercury Sable driven by 27-year-old Sebastian Throop, of Chester.
Throop attempted to avoid the collision, but the vehicles collided and end up on First National Bank of Steeleville property. A passenger in Throop's vehicle, Amy Johnson, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No citations were issued at the scene.
