Authorities have charged a Florida man in connection with two past bomb threats that closed Sesser-Valier schools.
Sheriff Don Jones says detectives with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and the Benton Police Department traveled to Florida last week, and on July 19 they arrested Gabriel Isaiah Estrada, 19, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. Estrada is being charged with making two bomb threats that closed Sesser-Valier schools Feb. 21, 2016, and Jan. 17, 2017.
Estrada recently was indicted by a Franklin County grand jury for falsely making a terrorist threat, disorderly conduct, intimidation of a minor and harassment of a minor by electronic means. Estrada was taken into custody at the Okaloosa County Jail in Okaloosa County, Fla., pending an extradition hearing.
The forensic computer and electronic media investigation has been ongoing for a number of months.
