Embroiders Guild forming local chapter

A Southern Illinois chapter of the the Embroiderers' Guild of America is being formed for individuals interested in learning or expanding their needlework skills. The group welcomes anyone who creates surface decoration using a needle with an eye and thread.
The initial meeting will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24 at Nest, located at 101 W. Monroe St. in Carbondale.
