The Benton Kiwanis Club is teaming up with Second Chance Rescue of Franklin County to raise funds to build a no-kill shelter in the county.
The groups will hold a three-day rummage sale from June 1 to 3 at the Kiwanis Hall on Hudelson Street in Benton. Donations of saleable items including household items, clean children's clothing, lawn supplies, jewelry, camping items and glassware can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 or 9 a.m. to noon or 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 1 at the Kiwanis Hall.
The hours for the sale itself are 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 2 and 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3.
All unsold items will be transferred to the Whittington Baptist Church closet, the North Benton Baptist Church, and the Ministerial Alliance on South Main Street in Benton. Anyone with a truck, van or SUV willing help to transport unsold items to these locations at the conclusion of the sale Saturday would be welcomed.

All proceeds from the sale will be placed in the building fund at the Mid Country Bank in Benton.
