The Pinckneyville Ministerial Alliance held its Baccalaureate Service for the PCHS class of 2017 Sunday at First Baptist Church.
The Rev. J. Mark Harris, pastor of First Pentecostal Church, delivered the message of "The Consequences of Truth." Other participants leading the service were the Rev. Rob Mathis, Oak Grove Baptist Church pastor; Bro. Collin Hirsch, Holt's Prairie Baptist Church pastor; the Rev. James Clardy, New Hope Community Church pastor; and Tod Rushing, Oak Grove Baptist Church and PCHS FCA sponsor.
PCHS Senior Class sponsors Katie Smith and Heather Wilkin helped to coordinate the service, which also included the PCHS Select Chorus, directed by Amber Nichols, singing "Beside the Still Waters"; and Senior Class officers Ashley Wild, Kelsey Ginn and Sydney Ginn reading scripture. The class members, family and friends enjoyed the senior slide show of baby and senior pictures. Class members gathered in the church's basement to line up before the processional, led by Junior Class Marshals Kyle Kreger and Shania Opp. The recessional takes class members to Mill Street for pictures with friends, family and faculty.
