The Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department is looking for volunteers to help it prepare for its role in emergency response preparedness.
In severe public health emergencies, the FWBCHD is mandated to provide emergency, life-saving medicine to residents. It plans to practice operating its mass dispensing public clinic from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of God in Marion.
Volunteers are needed to play the part of the public going through the emergency mass dispensing public clinic. No skills or training is needed.
There will be drawings for prizes and giveaways for those participating in the exercise.
For more information or to sign up, contact Ronda Koch, FWBCHD director of emergency preparedness, at rkoch@bicountyhealthy.org or 618-993-8111 ext. 212.
