Kidsignment draws bargain hunters

  • Shopper Teresa Steely of Du Quoin, in blue, was among the first in line last week when the doors flew open at the Pavilion of The City of Marion, site of the semi-annual Kidsignment event where shoppers are able to purchase gently used clothes, toys and other children's items for a fraction of their cost when sold new. Here she was checking out a riding toy for her newest grandchild, 10-month old King Steely. Her mother, Cecile Melvin, above left in grey coat, also of Du Quoin, can be seen waiting patiently for Steely to decide whether to buy the toy.
