Robert Joe Shreves passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Beloved husband of Dorothy Katicich Shreves for 50 years. Father of Rick Shreves, Michael Shreves, Shelley Adams (John) and Kara Shreves. Grandfather of David Adams, Clayton Adams, and Laurel Adams. Son of the late James Milford Shreves and Inez Craig Shreves. Brother of Ruby Meadows, James "Lavon" Shreves, Loma Baxter, Gary Shreves, and the late Rose Mullins, and Harold Shreves.
Age 82 years, a native of Mt. Vernon, IL and resident of Marrero, LA. He retired from Don Bohn Ford and also worked for Topper World and the Nut & Bolt House for many years. Lifetime member of AMVETS. His legacy was Santa Claus including appearances with Make a Wish Foundation, John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Atlantis, FL, modeling as Santa for themed occasions, private parties, local television commercials, movies, as well as winning the National Enquirer Santa look-alike contest.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 6 PM until 8 PM.
