Hamlin is a 5-year-old lab mix who weighs 70 pounds. He is one handsome fella and is looking for a family as active as he is! He loves running around in our play yard, making new friends, and living life to its fullest.

If you like adventure and exploration, Hamlin might just be your guy!

He's a big, strong dog, but he knows to sit for treats and to go in/out of his run, and we think he would love to learn more.

Hamlin needs a forever home without cats or other male dogs. He also does well with his potty habits, leading us to believe he's either housebroken or could easily be. Due to his energy level, we're recommending a fenced-in yard for Hamlin, as well as a couple meet-and-greets prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $175.

Please know that if you come to meet any of the dogs at our facility, they may be excited to see you and extra active. Many times, this is not a true picture of how they may act in a warm, safe home setting.

We, as volunteers, often take our shelter dogs on home visits and they become calm and act like completely different animals. This pertains to bathroom habits and demeanor. Please realize that they need a chance to shine out of the shelter setting!

If you have any specific questions about Hamlin, email the shelter volunteer at pchsinfo@yahoo.com or go to www.perrycountyhumanesocietyil.com to apply.
