Jack is a cutie pie. He is a Beagle mix who is 3 years old and weighs 23 pounds. He is a very sweet boy and was found by animal control and is now with us. He is the perfect size dog if you are looking for a smaller companion.

If you live within 100 miles of the shelter, you can adopt him. He was neutered on Oct. 13 and is ready to go. He also knows how to keep a clean kennel!

Jack is extremely shy and timid, so if you do not have a house that will accommodate him and a little patience for him to get comfortable, maybe he is not the dog for you. His adoption fee is $175 and he is considered good in a home with other dogs and even cats.

Please know that if you come to meet any of the dogs at our facility, they may be excited to see you and extra active. Many times, this is not a true picture of how they may act in a warm, safe home setting.

We, as volunteers, often take our shelter dogs on home visits and they become calm and act like completely different animals. This pertains to potty habits and demeanor. Please realize that they need a chance to shine out of the shelter setting!

If you have specific questions about Jack, email the shelter volunteer at pchsinfo@yahoo.com or go to www.perrycountyhumanesocietyil.com to apply.
