Buena Vista National Bank in conjunction with Memorial Hospital in Chester held its 24th annual Health Fair on March 8.

Fifty-five participants received testing for cholesterol, glucose levels and blood pressure. Staff members from the Chester Clinic, Steeleville Family Practice, the Therapy & Sports Rehab Center and Memorial Hospital's lab, nursing, and radiology staff were present to provide information.

The Southern Illinois Substance Abuse Alliance handed out drug deactivation kits and provided information on the coalition efforts to reduce the use of alcohol and drugs among teens. The Chester Lions Club joined this year by providing free Retinal Screenings. All organizations are glad to be able to offer these services to the community.
