4,000 to 5,000 pour into Chester to greet arrival of Big Boy #4014
Union Pacific personnel anticipated around 3,000 people would be on hand in Chester to ogle the massive steam locomotive, one of the biggest ever built; but the actual number was closer to between 4,000 and 5,000, authorities said.

Crazy new contests happening at 2021 state fair, sign up by Aug. 25!
There are a bunch of new contests at the Du Quoin State fair this year, everything from a baby photo contest, a pet and pet-parents lookalike photo contest, a re-create the photo content -- re-create a photo you took years ago -- to a lip-sync contest, a talent contest and a duct-tape dress contest.

Box office at Du Quoin State Fair open for grandstand entertainment tickets
The DuQuoin State Fair Box Office is now open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays for in-person grandstand tickets for the upcoming Du Quoin State Fair.
