It was a team effort that brought about a big change for West City as it welcomed another new business last week.
The Casey's General Store opened Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, samples, specials and giveaways.
"We're proud to be here," said area supervisor Teresa Noakes. "We've waited a long time. We have a great group of staff, and the community support has been amazing."
Dusty Keen, who will manage 27 staff members at the new store, has been at the Benton store for four years.
"I'm excited to be here," she said, adding that she's looking forward to managing "a great team."
