Harrisburg Police Chief Bob Smith said Thursday that a suspect in the Dec. 28 Harrisburg shooting has been arrested and is being held in Decatur.
Police had been searching for Xzavier B. Gibbs, 17, whom State’s Attorney Mike Henshaw had charged with attempted first degree murder and aggravated battery in the shooting of Bobby Evans, according to the arrest warrant.
Evans was shot in the chest with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting occurred in a lawn on the 500 block of North Jackson Street. The shooting occurred the night of another reported shooting in Carrier Mills, though no one was injured in that incident.
