The Saline County Sheriff’s Office have received reports from citizens receiving suspicious calls from purported representatives of Publisher’s Clearinghouse.
The callers state the individuals are to send money or better chances of winning the Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes, according to a release from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
This is a scam. Publisher’s Clearinghouse states that no money is needed to apply for the sweepstakes and no purchase increases the odds at winning the sweepstakes.
Residents are reminded that if it sounds to good to be true it is, and that they should not send money to anyone claiming to be from Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes.
