Republican sheriff candidate Mike Gribble said Wednesday he has no plans to ask for a recount of the vote.
Keith Brown was declared the winner of the race Tuesday by a margin 19 votes following the official canvass in the county clerk’s office.
“As of right now I’m not planning on it,” Gribble said. “And I don’t really know all the details, but as of right now I’m not planning on doing that.”
Gribble also said he does not seeing himself campaigning for the office again in the future. Gribble is planning a conversation with Brown.
“I think Sheriff Brown and myself ran a very clean race. I haven’t had the chance to congratulate him yet, but I will,” Gribble said.
