Harrisburg murder: Single gunshot killed Aaron Gregory, coroner says
Aaron Paul Gregory Jr., 25, was killed by a single gunshot early Friday morning, according to Saline County Coroner Jerry Watson. Meanwhile, one of two suspects in his slaying is in custody in Kentucky.

Burns guilty on kidnapping charges
HARRISBURG -- A jury on Friday found Dr. Brian Burns guilty of charges in a plan to kidnap then-Saline County State's Attorney Mike Henshaw while Burns was in jail accused of murdering his wife. The three women and nine men found Burns guilty on all three counts of attempted aggravated kidnapping, solicitation to commit aggravated kidnapping and conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping.

Eldorado man charged with 3 counts first degree murder
Rodney E. Black, 56, Eldorado, has been formally charged by Saline County State's Attorney with three counts of first degree murder as well as three counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child in the stabbing death of Latisha Reidelberger and her unborn child, according to a press release from Henshaw's office.

Court to hear all motions Tuesday in Coulterville man's ongoing murder case
The Honorable Judge James Campanella has asked all parties to come together in his courtroom on Tuesday at 10 a.m. to hear all motions relevant to the case of murder suspect William Farnsworth, of Coulterville, including a motion to suppress evidence in the case. Farnsworth was charged in Perry County last November with the first-degree murder of Jeffrey Harris.

Coulterville murder suspect held on $5 million bond
Coulterville first degree murder suspect William Farnsworth, 61, went before Circuit Judge James Campanella Monday for a first appearance after he shot and killed a former drinking buddy in the driveway of his own home Friday. Judge Campanella set bond at $5 million with a preliminary hearing set for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m.

Coulterville man charged with first degree murder
On Friday Nov. 7, 2014 at approximately 2 p.m., the Perry County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call in reference to a shooting near Coulterville, in the far northwest corner of Perry County. Perry County deputies and Pinckneyville Ambulance Service responded to a residence on Goldeneye Road near Coulterville.

Roger Young sentenced to 32 years
Roger D. Young, 63, Eldorado, was sentenced to 32 years imprisonment for solicitation of murder for hire of his wife.

Dakota Wall transported to Lincoln women's prison
Sidnee Stephens would have celebrated her 19th birthday two weeks ago yesterday. At the time of her murder nearly four years ago in July 2010 she was a sophomore at Pinckneyville Community High School. She enjoyed making candy bracelets, music and concerts, playing pool, riding four-wheelers, fishing , swimming and camping.
