Rangerettes drop pair of games

Benton bookended its week with a 32-29 loss to Freeburg in the Sally Niemeyer Classic, held at Rich Herrin Gymnasium.
Addisyn Miller had a team-high 10 points and was the only Rangerette to finish in double figures on the day.
Ensley Tedeschi scored seven points, while Mady Wallace chipped in with six points and Jacey Eubanks tossed in two points.
Benton trailed 8-6 after one quarter of play and trailed by two, 17-15 at halftime. The Rangerettes only managed four points in the third quarter and trailed 24-19 going into the game's final eight minutes where BCHS outscored Freeburg 10-8, but fell short.
Du Quoin 55, Benton 45
Addisyn Miller had a team-high 14 points in Benton's 55-45 loss at Du Quoin Thursday night.
The Rangerettes never led, trailing 18-9 after the first quarter and the Indians held Benton to three points in the second quarter as DQ led 35-12 at halftime.
Despite outscoring DQ 11-2 in the third quarter to trim the deficit to 37-23, Benton's comeback fell short by 10 points.
Ensley Tedeschi added eight points, while Mady Wallace and Mia Willis each scored six points.
Addi Krueger finished with four points for Benton, while Sesley Tedeschi and Zoe Carlton each tossed in three points. Jacey Eubanks threw in a free throw.
Benton 32, Herrin 23
Wallace put in a team-high 10 points and Benton finished with just six players in the scoring column, notching a 32-23 SIRR Ohio win at Herrin Tuesday night.
Miller scored seven for the Rangerettes, while Eubanks finished with five points. Ensley Tedeschi and Carlton both flipped in four points, while Kreuger tossed in two points.
