The Chester High School boys basketball team made its annual pilgrimage to SIU Carbondale on Jan. 7 where they watched the Salukis beat Valparaiso in a Missouri Valley Conference battle.

Chester Coach Brad Norman, his coaching staff, and his entire basketball program made the trip. In addition to an exciting game, Chester freshman basketball coach, Cody Mileur, was selected from the crowd to compete in the 3-point shot challenge -- and won; while another Chester coach, Jacob Cowan, demonstrated the most spirit in the Banterra Center to win a free Papa John's pizza. The entire Chester contingent had a great time.
