Gallatin County improved to 6-5 overall and are now 2-0 in Greater Egyptian Conference play with a 49-32 win over Galatia-Thompsonville Monday night.
The Hawks, who have won four of their last five, got a game-high 14 points from MaKenzie Russell and another 10 points from senior Audrey Jackson.
Carly Foster netted nine points for Gallatin County, banging home three 3-pointers. Gracie Sauls added eight points, while Molly Newton finished with four points. Hallie Zirkelbach and Caitlin George both tossed in two points.
Galatia-Thompsonville was led in scoring by Kate Bond's eight points. Jayden Beers scored seven points, while Chloe Mayes, Mattie McFarland and Bridget Taylor all finished with five points.
Gallatin County will host Goreville tonight (Wednesday) and will play host to Dongola on Friday with both varsity contests starting at 6 p.m.
