Eagles finish NCOE Tourney 1-1

The Eldorado volleyball team knocked off Thompsonville before losing to NCOE on the final night of the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield tournament.
Against Thompsonville, Eldorado won in straight sets, 25-21 and 27-25.
The Eagle offense was led by Emma Wargel, Lily Mosby and Karis Lane, while Lauryn Hampton and Paige Munds were strong in the Eagles' set game.
Mitchell, who was named to the NCOE All-Tournament Team, had a great defensive game against Thompsonville, finishing with 30 digs.
"We played as a team," EHS head coach Lisa Craig said. "In the second game, we were down and came back and won."
Mitchell went 8-8 on serves with eight points, while Hampton was 25-26 on sets and 5-7 on serves with seven points. Wargel had 17 spikes with five kills and went 9-10 on serves with 10 points an ace and two blocks.
Kenzie Sizemore went 7-7 on spikes with a kill and two blocks, while Munds was 18-18 on sets and 5-5 on serves with five points and 10 digs. Mosby went 17-19 on spikes with four kills and 4-5 on serves with six points an ace. Lane finished 18-22 in spikes with three kills and 5-7 on serves with seven points and one ace.
After its win over the Tigers, Eldorado dropped a straight set loss to NCOE, falling 25-10 and 25-17.
"Our offense was good, but we couldn't get an offense going," Craig said.
Mitchell led the team in defense with 13 digs and Wargel led the Eagles at the net with seven spikes and one kill.
Munds led Eldorado in sets with 17 and serves after going 7-7 with seven points.
