On Senior Day, it would only be fitting that the Harrisburg trio of Madeline Rider, Karsyn Davis and Mackenzie Marshall lead the Bulldogs to a 16-7 win over Carbondale.

Marshall flashed her leather in right field all day for Harrisburg, while Rider and Davis each collected three hits.

Davis was 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Rider went 3-for-3. Lydia Miller, a junior, also had three hits, finishing 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Mya King was 2-for-3 with a team-high four RBI, while Essence Sanders went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Makayla Payne and Hannah Reid each had one hit, while Payne drove in two runs.

Kerrigan Payne improved to 20-5 on the season in the circle as she went the distance, allowing seven runs (four earned) on 11 hits, while striking out three.


Harrisburg 17, Hardin County 0

Harrisburg collected 22 hits in a 17-0 shutout victory over Hardin County Tuesday.

Madeline Rider went 4-for-4 in the leadoff position, scoring four runs and driving in two, while Hanna Reid was 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Mya King and Essence Sanders also had three hits, while King scored two runs and finished with an RBI. Sanders had a pair of RBI and two runs scored.

Brooklin Butler was 1-for-1 with two RBI and a run scored, while Karsyn Davis, Kerrigan Payne, Lexie Williams and Mackenzie Marshall all had one hit.

Davis and Payne each drove in one run, while Halona Presley, Ashlyn Hammond, Riley Wright, Marshall and Williams all scored one run.

In the circle, Kerrigan Payne picked up the win, pitching three innings and giving up two hits, while striking out two. Miller came on in relief and struck out one and walked one over two innings.

Eldorado 4, Goreville 3

Ali Joyner pitched a five-hitter and helped Eldorado to a big win, beating Goreville 4-3 Tuesday.

Joyner went five innings and struck out three, while Emma Wargel came on in relief to pick up six outs.

"Ali pitched her heart out," EHS head coach Rick Dempsey said. "She kept Goreville off their game for the first five innings and Wargel came in to get the last six outs to help out. Wargel also had a strong offensive game. The top of the lineup put together some very good offense (Mitchell, Munds, Wargel, Vanzant, Green and Joyner). This was a good win for the program."

Wargel was 3-for-3 with three RBI, while Paige Munds went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Cydnee Vanzant was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Lexi Mitchell was 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Cathlene Green went 1-for-3.


Harrisburg 15, Anna-Jonesboro 1

Kerrigan Payne had herself a day as the freshman smacked two home runs and finished with seven RBI in Harrisburg's 15-1 win over Anna-Jonesboro in six innings Monday.

Payne went 3-for-3 at the plate, which included a three-run home run in the third inning and a two-run home run in the sixth inning.

Karsyn Davis and Madeline Rider also had a multiple hit day as Rider went 3-for-4 with three RBI and led the game off with a home run, giving her seven on the season. Davis was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Essence Sanders was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Hannah Reid went 2-for-4.

Lydia Miller improved to 6-0 in the circle and she tossed a six hitter. Miller faced 25 batters and struck out three, while allowing one earned run.

Eldorado 6, Gallatin County 0

Emma Wargel pitched a perfect game against Gallatin County Monday as she struck out 18 in an impressive effort.

At the plate, Cathlene Green was 2-for-3 with two RBI and Wargel was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Lexie Mitchell, Paige Munds, Ali Joyner, Alexa Haenel and Lacey Hobbs all had one hit. Munds scored two runs, while Joyner and Haenel each scored a run.
