Carrier Mills scores win over Crab Orchard

Carrier Mills-Stonefort scored one run in the sixth inning that propelled them to a 2-1 win over Crab Orchard Tuesday afternoon.
Rostin Lewis scored the Wildcats' first run on a Jeremy Choat groundout in the third inning, but it was Caden Van Meter's RBI single that scored Colton Bets in the sixth that proved to be the difference.
Lewis went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Choat was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Ethan Fitzgerald and Van Meter were also both 1-for-3, while Van Meter finished with an RBI.
On the bump, Van Meter got the start and went six innings, allowing one run on five hits, while striking out eight and walking two. Betz worked one inning of relief work and struck out one, while walking two.
Johnston City 12, Eldorado 0
Johnston City touched Eldorado starter Dalton White for 12 runs on 13 hits while shutting out the Eagles 12-0 Tuesday afternoon.
White allowed seven earned runs, struck out three and walked one in the loss.
At the plate, Justin Clark held Eldorado to four hits as Joe Mayberry, Hunter Sizemore, Nolan Milligan and Trevor Milligan all had a hit.
WEDNESDAY
Harrisburg 3, Zeigler-Royalton 0
Will Holland scored two runs, while going 2-for-3 at the plate in a 3-0 victory at home over Zeigler-Roylaton Wednesday afternoon.
Jacob Penrod scored the other run, while Noah Boon and Javie Beal each finished with an RBI.
Boon was one of three players to get one hit as Isaac Crabb and Jack Martin each registered a hit in the win.
Boon also went the distance on the mound, striking out nine and tossing a one-hitter.
Gallatin County 8, Carrier Mills-Stonefort 4
Gallatin County outhit Carrier Mills-Stonefort 13-7 in a 8-4 victory Wednesday.
Garrett Rushing and Audie Goebel each went 3-for-4 for Gallatin County, while Goebel drove in two runs. Rushing finished with an RBI and a run scored.
Other hits for the Hawks included, Grant Bosaw (2-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 run scored), Drake Scherrer (2-for-3, 1 run scored), Robbie Prince (1-for-2, 2 runs scored), Wyatt Downen (1-for-3) and Brock Seely (1-for-3).
Jeremy Choat was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, while Colton Bets, Caden Van Meter, Brandon Hambleton, Kyle Bristow and Mason Gilliam all had one hit.
Dustin Drone got the win for the Hawks as he allowed four runs (one earned) on seven hits, while striking out six and walking two.
Hambleton took the loss for CMSF, allowing eight runs (four earned) on 13 hits, while striking out six and walking three.
