Senior night turned out to be a great one for the Benton girls basketball team Thursday night.
Mady Wallace scored 17 points, and Addisyn Miller added 14 as the Rangerettes crushed Massac County, 64-40, to earn the SIRR Ohio Division title outright.
Benton used a 12-1 run in the second quarter to gain some separation from the Lady Patriots. The Rangerettes opened up a 15-point advantage at halftime and never looked back.
Benton improved its overall record to 22-8 and wrapped up its conference slate with a terrific 9-1 mark.
On Tuesday, Benton hosts the Class 3A Regional and will play either Marion or Mount Vernon at 6 p.m. If the Rangerettes win that contest, they'll play for the championship at 7 p.m. Thursday.
