Trojans hold off Carrier Mills

CRAB ORCHARD -- Hunter Throgmorton and Kegan Peek both scored 22 points to lead Crab Orchard High School's boys basketball team to a 59-56 win over Carrier Mills on Tuesday night.
Throgmorton hit two 3-pointers and scored nine points in the opening minutes to help the Trojans take a 17-6 lead into the second quarter, then Peek scored nine points to give Crab Orchard a 30-18 halftime advantage.
Treys from Peek and Tony Lakotich and four more points from Throgmorton pushed the lead to
46-28 going into the fourth quarter, where Throgmorton put in seven points to hold off the charging Wildcats.
The Trojans (18-10) host NCOE on Friday night.
