Five Bulldogs advance to Sectional

Five Bulldog wrestlers will represent Harrisburg High School at this weekend's Carterville Sectional.
Harrisburg came away with three first-place finishes, a second-place finish and a third-place finish.
Kyle and Kody Cavender each finish at the top of the podium as Kyle (19-3) took first in the 138-pound division, beating Robinson's Jeff Hermann (33-7) with a 10-0 major decision in the championship.
Kody (33-4) took down Lathan Chisolm (22-12) of Lawrenceville's, winning at 1:10 in the first period in the title match.
Tucker Bryant (18-12) beat Benton's Carston Sanders for the other first-place finish, winning at 3:43 in the first period.
Landon Hicks (21-6) took second losing to Mt. Carmel's Dayton Hall in the 120-pound weight class and Bradyn Whiting (18-13) finished third in the 152-pound weight class, beating Carmi-White County's Blake Pollard at 1:13 in the third period.
The Sectional will be held Saturday at Carterville High School, starting at 9 a.m.
