Eldorado rebounds with win over Bearcats

Eldorado rebounded from Saturday night's heartbreaking overtime loss to beat Christopher 46-29 Tuesday in the nightcap of the West Frankfort Mid-Winter Tournament.
Eldorado was led by Aiden Whitlock's 20 points, while Ladayyea Shewmaker added eight points.
Joe Mayberry scored seven points, while Townsend Barton finished with four points. Bryant Byrd tacked on three points, while Jace Jenkins and Noah Smith each tossed in two points.
It was a wire-to-wire win for Eldorado, who led 12-5 after one quarter of play and took a 22-15 lead into the locker room.
Bryce Pratt had 11 points to lead Christopher.

Edwards County 63, Harrisburg 51
Harrisburg's Jesse Lawler scored in double figures for the second straight game, but the Bulldogs lost their second straight, dropping a 51-63 contest to Edwards County Wednesday night at the Carmi-White County Invitational.
Lawler scored a team-high 15 points and was the only Bulldog to score in double figures as Will Sanders netted nine points and Will Gibbs added eight points. Zayne Hayes scored seven points, while Branndden Watson and Darion Barners both finished with four points. Andrew Bittle and Connor Phalin both tossed in two points.
Harrisburg forced Edwards County into 13 turnovers, while committing 11 miscues themselves, but the Bulldogs were outrebounded 32-18.

Carmi-White County 64, Harrisburg 48
On the first night of the Carmi-White County Invitational Tournament, Harrisburg lost to the host team 64-48.
The Bulldogs (4-12) had two players finish in double figures as Jesse Lawler led Harrisburg with 15 points. Will Sanders scored 12 to finish with double digits.
Andrew Bittle netted nine in the loss, while Will Gibbs added eight points for Harrisburg, Zayne Hayes and Darion Barners both had two points.
Harrisburg went 21-for-47 from the field and 2-of-12 from 3-point range. The Bulldogs were outrebounded 29-18 by Carmi-White County who went 23-for-46 from the field.

Gallatin County 50, Norris City-Omaha-Enfield 38
Gallatin County grabbed a Greater Egyptian Conference win on the road, knocking off Norris City-Omaha-Enfield 50-38 Tuesday night.
Audie Goebel led all scorers with 13 points and Dawson Hish also scored double figures, finishing with 11 points.
Conner Kiesecomes netted nine points and Robbie Price added eight points, while Garrett Rushing finished with four points. Lucas Reeder tacked on three points and Will Henson tossed in two points.
