The last couple of years, Eldorado has gone toe-to-toe with the Mules, winning last year's title.
Fairfield flexed its BDC muscle once again with a 61-28 victory at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium, just ahead of Wednesday's Eldorado Holiday Tournament seed meeting where the unbeaten Mules (8-0) went to 2-0 in BDC play.
Fairfield, came in averaging 68 points per game were under their average against Eldorado (6-2, 0-1), but stayed on point with individual scoring.
Jayzale O'Neal, who averages 14.6 points per game, scored a team-high 13 for Fairfield, while Landon Zurliene also reached double figures, finishing with 11 points.
The Mules jumped out to an 11-1 lead midway through the first quarter and Zurliene's pull up jumper with 1:18 to go, gave Fairfield a 17-7 lead.
The Mules stepped on the gas in the second quarter, forcing pressure in the backcourt with a smothering press that resulted in 14 first half turnovers for Eldorado, who didn't score until 35 seconds before halftime, where the Mules took a 31-9 lead at intermission.
Eldorado finished with 22 miscues in the game and trailed 51-19 after the end of the third.
Ladayyea Shewmaker had a team-high 12 points for the Eagles, while Joe Mayberry also finished in double figures with 10 points.
Bryant Byrd and Townsend Barton both scored two points for EHS, while Aiden Whitlock tossed in a free throw.
Gallatin County 50, Webber Township 32
Dawson Hish had a game-high 15 points, while Robbie Prince finished with 14 points in helping Gallatin County to a 50-32 win over Webber Township Saturday night.
Audie Goebel netted nine for the Hakws, who improved to 7-2 overall. Garrett Rushing added eight points, while Lucas Reeder and Conner Kiesecoms both had two points.
Gallatin County 62, Pope County 47
Hish was one of two other players to score in double figures as the Hawks beat Pope County 62-47 Friday night at Gallatin County High School.
Hish had a team-high 20 points, while Rushing finished with 15 points and Goebel tacked on 10 in the win.
Prince added eight in the win, while Reeder finished with five and Kiesecoms flipped in four points.
Hardin County 55, Carrier Mills-Stonefort 38
Caden Van Meter had a team-high 14 points for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, who dropped a GEC matchup to Hardin County Friday night.
Van Meter was the lone Wildcat to score in double figures. Aiden Rollins scored seven points for CMSF, while Jeremy Choat scored six points. Zavier Rollins and Colton Betz both finished with four points, while Trey Collins tacked on three in the loss.
