Logan Men & Women win at Kaskaskia

Freshman Jay Scrub scored 23 points and sophomore All-American David Sloan had 18 as John A. Logan beat previously unbeaten Kaskaskia 93-82. The game was tied 49-49 at the half and the lead see-sawed back and forth until Logan gained control with 3:58 remaining and Logan up 85-78.
Logan got clutch free throws from Sloan, Jonah Jackson, Chris Harris and Vonnie Patterson. Logan is now 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference while Kaskaskia is 5-1 and 1-1.

Logan women beat Kaskaskia 88-58
Emily Holmes connected on 7-10 three-pointers to lead the John A. Logan Lady Vols to an 88-58 road win over Kaskaskia. Holmes ended the night with 23 points while inside players ZaKyra Stallworth and Kalveona Pepper combined for 29 points and 25 rebounds.
Stallworth also had seven blocked shots as Logan dominated inside. The Lady Vols are now 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference. Kaskaskia is 1-3 and 0-2.
