Bulldogs sweep West Frankfort

The Harrisburg volleyball team swept all three levels against West Frankfort Monday night, including the varsity team winning in straight sets.
Harrisburg laid down some tough offense with 25 kills between the two sets, where Madeline Rider led with 11 kills, while Josie Drone chipped in with five kills and Lauryn Gribble added five.
Daizha Locke served three aces on the night and Autumn Rain Harrawood was tough at the net getting six blocks on the night. Devin Butler led in assists with 23 and Mackenzie Marshall captained the defense with 15 digs.
"We showed up ready to play tonight," Harrisburg head coach Heather Cox said. "We served well, played tough defense and minimized errors."
The Harrisburg freshman team also won in two sets and the junior varsity team won in three sets.
The Bulldogs were scheduled to square off against Murphysboro Tuesday night.
