MURPHYSBORO -- The Du Quoin and Pinckneyville boys golf teams finished their seasons Tuesday at the Trico 1A Regional played at Jackson Country Club.
Du Quoin's Jonathon Hackleman and Pinckneyville's Logan Lindner both shot 91 and missed the individual qualifying cut by one stroke.
Pinckneyville did not take its full team. The only other Panther on the results list was Nile Adcock, who shot a 99.
Du Quoin's Garrick Blevins, who last week earned an all-conference medal on the Mississippi Division side of the SIRR Conference tournament, shot a 100 at the regional.
Ethan Shepard came in at 116, his personal-best score for 18 holes, and the Indians were dropped to the bottom of the team standings when A.J. Rice's score did not count due to a scorecard error.
"As a team we have come a long way this year," said Du Quoin coach Bryson Potts in a post on the team's Facebook page. "The boys put in a lot of work and it is starting to show."
