Lady Wildcats win two matches

HARRISBURG -- The Marion High School girls golf team improved its season record to 19-4 with a 173-188 win over Harrisburg at Shawnee Hills on Tuesday.
Chloe Thomas and Ava Lewis both shot 42 to share co-medalist honors in the match. Sarah Capel was right behind at 43 and Kelsey Sinks provided the fourth at 46.
Also playing were Olivia Gray (47) and Jessica Clarida (55).
On Monday, Thomas and Capel both shot a 46 as the Lady Wildcats won a three-team match at Hickory Ridge.
Marion's total was 188 to beat out Carbondale (250) and West Frankfort (251) on the tough course.
