Althoff shuts out Wildcats

MARION -- Belleville Althoff scored a pair of goals in the second half to beat Marion, 2-0, in a South Seven Conference match Thursday night at Wildcat Stadium.
Marion fell to 2-6-2 overall after suffering its third-straight scoreless loss.
Mason Wagner opened the scoring with a rebound goal past Wildcat keeper Camden Dodds.
Mitchell Kidd added to the Crusaders' lead with a header off a pass from Wagner with 22:30 left in the match.
Marion couldn't get anything past Althoff keeper Ethan Haege and dropped to 0-1 in the South Seven.
The Wildcats play again Monday at home against Massac and travel to Centralia on Tuesday.
