Marion girls golf plays Massac, Carterville

CARTERVILLE -- The Marion High School girls golf team posted its best score of the season in a tri-match at Crab Orchard on Thursday.
The Lady Wildcats totaled 187 to squeeze in between Massac County (172) and Carterville (217) at the match.
Massac's Millie Lawson was the medalist with a 39 and the Lady Patriots had four other golfers in the 40s to get the win.
Marion was led by Olivia Gray at 41, followed by Sarah Capel (45), Chloe Thomas (49) and Kelsey Sinks (52), with Baylee Kelley and Ava Lewis both carding 54.
Ali Lamb had Carterville's low score of 48.
