Eldorado's Noah Smith took medalist honors in his first event of the 2018 season, firing a 36 in leading the Eagle boys' golf team to a 175-219 win over Hardin County Tuesday at Saline County Country Club.
In addition to Smith's 36, EHS got a 42 from Evan Coyle and a 48 from Kaiden Lloyd. Austin Willis shot a 49, while A.J. Hankins (50) and Ely Boulds (58) rounded out the scoring.
Calen Banks had a 43 for the Cougars, while Gabe Fowler fired a 53 and Bryson Cullom carded a 59. Mason Hall shot a 64 and Braxton Joyner had a 65.

Harrisburg falls in triangular match
The Harrisburg boys' golf team was third in a triangular match Tuesday at Shawnee Hills Country Club.
The Bulldogs shot a 185 and were 18 strokes off No. 1 finisher Massac County, who shot a 167 Mt. Carmel was second with a 179.
For the Bulldogs, Ashton Hall carded a low round 42 for Harrisburg, while Andrew Bittle shot a 44. Krayton Morse fired a 48 and Ben Brombaugh shot a 51.
Massac County's Micah Troutt took medalist honors with a 37. Mt. Carmel's Wade Ruth had a 38 for the Aces.
