Harrisburg blanks Pinckneyville

Harrisburg hammered out 16 hits in a 10-0 win over Pinckneyville late last week at Jay Thompson Field in Harrisburg.
Will Gibbs and Dalton Lambert, both of who went 3-for-4 on the day, led the Harrisburg hit attack. Lambert drove in two runs, while scoring two runs. Gibbs scored three runs and had an RBI.
Presley Gauch also drove in two runs with a multiple hit day. The senior went, 2-for-4 with a run scored and joined Isaac Crabb, Jack Martin and Carson Burtis as Bulldogs who registered multiple hits. Martin and Burtis each had one RBI.
Kent Cletcher went 1-for-3 with an RBI, while Javier Beal was 1-for-2.
On the mound, Noah Boon got the win, going five innings and allowing five hits, striking out one and walking three. Burtis came on for one inning of relief work, striking out two.
Harrisburg was slated to host Anna-Jonesboro Monday and will host Olney (Richland Co.) today (Tuesday). On Wednesday, Harrisburg plays host to Marion and will be at Goreville Thursday. The Bulldogs close out the week at home against Hamilton County Friday and will be at Barrington on Saturday with all games starting at 4:30 p.m.
