Du Quoin track teams hold Co-Ed meet

DU QUOIN -- The Du Quoin High School track and field teams held the Du Quoin Co-Ed Meet on Thursday at Van Metre Field.
Competing teams included Christopher, Anna-Jonesboro, Woodlawn, Cobden, Pinckneyville, Murphysboro and Wayne City.
In the girls meet, Du Quoin got wins from Madison Davis in the 100 (13.12), Jacqueline Crain in the 800 (2:38.50), Andrea Lopez in the mile (5:55.59), Gabby Alongi in the two-mile (12:23.87), Bailey Harsy in the 100 hurdles (17.32), Elizabeth Bird in the high jump (5-2) and Aubrey Barwick in the discus (95-1).
Placing second were Olivia Cravens in the 800 (2:45.41), Lopez in the two-mile (12:52.52), Harsy in the 300 hurdles (55.88), Ella Hirsch in the triple jump (31-6) and Barwick in the shot put (30-5.75).
Placing third were Harsy in the 100 (13.45) and long jump (14-10.5), Bird in the 200 (29.75) and Arrah Barwick in the discus (84-0).
On the boys side, Du Quoin's winners were Keenan Johnston in pole vault (10-6), Tobby Hottes in discus (110-6.5), Dalton Moore in shot put (38-3.5) and Caleb Davis in the 400 (54.8).
Taking second were Ethan Zettler in the 100 dash (12.32) and 300 hurdles (46.51), Westly Milam in the 200 (24.0) and long jump (18-5.5), Darian Edward in the 400 (55.31), John Alongi in the two-mile (11:44.31) and Hottes in the shot put (37-0.5).
Placing third were Ty're Dunklin in the discus (101-9.5), Zettler in pole vault (9-6) and 110 hurdles (19.14), Eli Colbert in the long jump (17-7), Johnathan Gomes in the two-mile (11:47.77), John Alongi in the mile (5:32.02) and Caleb Davis in the 200 (25.57).
