EHT: Herrin wins twice to move into Consolation Championship

GAME 10: Edwards County 54, Carrier Mills-Stonefort 29
The Lions staved off elimination in the first game of Day 2 at the EHT, knocking out Carrier Mills-Stonefort 54-29.
The Lions put three players in double figures as Cade Schnicker had a game-high 17 points. Justin Wallace wasn't far behind with 15 points and Marty Schmittler rounded out double digit scoring with 10 points in the win.
Roslin Lewis had a team-high 11 points for the Wildcats and close out the EHT with two losses.
Darion Barners scored seven for CMSF and Billy Lewis chipped in with six. Jeremy Choat and Trey Collins each had two points, while Nathaniel Reed tossed in a free throw.
Carrier Mills-Stonefort is now 34-97 in 52 years at the EHT.

GAME 11: Herrin 74, Fairfield 63
Herrin put four players in double figures, including a game-high 19 points from Brandon Anthony, 10 of which came from the free throw line as the Tigers stayed alive in the EHT with a 74-63 win over Fairfield at the EHT.
Bronson Nesler caught fire in the second half, knocking down three 3-pointers in the third quarter to finish with five in the game and 17 points, while Drew Ringle rang up 15 points and Hayden Holloway tacked on 10 in the win.
Brian Estes had 11 points in the loss for Fairfield.

GAME 12: NCOE 68, Vienna 65
Norris City-Omaha-Enfield tied a tournament record, matching Meridian (1991) and Eldorado (1998) for the most 3-pointers made, netting 14 as the Cardinals knocked out Vienna 68-65 at the EHT Friday.
Jack Riggs led the Cardinals with a game-high 24 points, accounting for six 3-pointers, while Brandon Skaggs drilled five triples, en route to 18 points. Evan Healy rounded out the double figure scoring with 10 points.
Nolan Dahncke had a team-high 20 points for Vienna and Justin Casey scored 16 in the loss.

GAME 14: Anna-Jonesboro 69, Union Co. Ky. 52
Jake Parr added his name to the EHT record book with 42 points in Anna-Jonesboro's 69-52 win over Union County, Ky., Friday.
Parr's performance ranks him fourth best in EHT history as he joins names like T.J. Wheeler (51 points), Mike Duff (46), Eddie Lane (45) and Bob Tierney, Mike Dixon and Keil Pebbles (44) for most points in the tournament.
Union County, Ky., who will play Massac County in Saturday's fifth place bracket, got 24 points from Logan Thomas and another 14 points from Elex Dunford.

Game 15: Edwards County 49, Hamilton County 45 (OT)
Edwards County moved to the Consolation Championship game by beating Hamilton County 49-45 in overtime Friday at the EHT.
The Lions put three players in double figures as Cade Schnicker had a game-high 17 points, while Justin Wallace finished with 15 and Marty Schmittler tacked on 12 points.
Matt Rubenacker had 15 points for the Foxes in the loss.

Game 16: West Frankfort 53, Carmi-White County 36
C.J. Johnson had a game-high 20 points for West Frankfort and teammate Keegan Thrash tacked on 10 for the Redbirds, who moved into Saturday's semifinals of the EHT.
Carmi-White County's Justin Lamp had 10 in the loss.

Game 18: Herrin 81, NCOE 48
Herrin and NCOE both tied a tournament record with 11 3-pointers made and Herrin knocked out Norris City-Omaha-Enfield 81-48 in the red-eye game Friday night.
The Tigers put themselves in the consolation championship game against Edwards County Saturday at 3 p.m.
Herrin put four players in double figures as Drew Ringle had a game-high 19 points, while sophomore guard Brandon Anthony chipped in with 16 points. Bronson Nesler tacked on 12 and Hayden Holloway finished with 10 points.
Brandon Skaggs had a team-high 15 for the Cardinals, while Trey Simmons cashed in with 11 points.
Herrin and NCOE tied the two team game record with 22 3-pointers, matching Fairfield vs. Harrisburg in 2014.
NCOE finished the tournament with 28 3-pointers made. The most 3-pointers made came from Harrisburg, who knocked down 31 in 2014. Meridian had 29 in 1991.
