CARTERVILLE -- Destiny Cozart poured in 26 points to lead the John A. Logan College women's basketball team to an 88-73 win over Three Rivers on Tuesday night at Brewer Gymnasium.
Logan is now 7-2 this season. Three Rivers, which was responsible for one of those losses, is now 11-4.
Cozart was an efficient 8-of-12 from the field and made all eight of her free throw attempts. She also had eight rebounds and five assists.
Farasia Hodge added 19 points and eight rebounds, while Shaniya Whitsell had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Lady Vols. Morgan Griffith also hit double figures with 10 points and Miriah Donelson had nine.
The game was tied at 33 at halftime before Cozart erupted for 15 points in the third quarter, which ended with Logan holding an eight-point lead.
The Lady Vols host Mineral Area in a game Saturday at noon, then play Vincennes at home Monday night at 5 p.m.
