The Elverado Booster Club and Elverado basketball teams will hold a barbecue dinner and silent auction fundraiser Saturday, Dec. 9 at the high school.
The junior high and girls and boys high school teams will be playing that day.
The junior high boys will start at 11 a.m., with the girls game at 1 p.m. and the boys at 3 p.m. It is "Vogler Ford Night," and they will be presenting a check for $5,000 to the Booster Club and Elverado Education Foundation for the "DRIVE 4 UR SCHOOL" fundraiser in September.
They will also be honoring the junior high girls softball "Class S" SIJHSSA state champion 2017 softball team at halftime.
The barbecue dinners will be $7 with all the fixings and dessert, with take-home dinners also available. Dinners will be available from 11 a.m. until they are gone.
Tracy Fenton of Fenton's Custom and Collision, a longtime supporter of Falcon Athletics, is once again donating the barbecue. Perry County Market is donating a $50 gift certificate to buy side dishes.
Tickets will be available at the door. We need help with serving and making homemade desserts.
