INA -- The John A. Logan College women's basketball team won its fourth straight game and stayed on top of the Great Rivers Athletic Conference with a 79-61 road win at Rend Lake on Wednesday night.

The Lady Vols are now 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

Farasia Hodge led the way with 23 points and 11 rebounds while Morgan Griffith had 12 points and Destiny Cozart added 11.

Logan trailed 21-18 after one quarter but took the lead in the second quarter and led 35-28 at the half. The Lady Vols dominated the game in the second half to gain the victory.

Logan's defense held the nation's second leading scorer, Kennedy Prince, to just five points.

JALC plays in Greenville against the Greenville College junior varsity on Friday night, then travels to Three Rivers on Tuesday before returning to GRAC play on Dec. 9 at home against Southeastern Illinois.
