Logan women roll past Lincoln Trail in GRAC opener

CARTERVILLE -- The John A. Logan College women's basketball team opened conference play with an 81-68 win over previously unbeaten Lincoln Trail, 81-68, Wednesday night at Brewer Gymnasium.
The Lady Vols are now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference.
Logan had four players score in double figures. Farasia Hodge and Destiny Cozart each had 20 points while Kaili Bacon added 12 and Shaniya Whitsell had 11.
Logan dominated the boards 42-28 with Miriah Donelson leading the way with eight while Hodge and Alicia Hornbuckle each had seven.
Marion's Nia Marshall played and did not score but had one rebound.
Bre Spalding led Lincoln Trail (4-1, 0-1) with 20 points.
The Lady Vols will play at Shawnee on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
