MARION -- Baylee Kelley drove in three runs and Jerzy Bittle had three hits as the Marion Junior High School softball team stayed perfect with a 10-0 six-inning win over West Frankfort on Tuesday at the Crisp Sports Complex.

The Lady Wildcats are now 21-0 overall and can finish a sweep of the Big Seven Conference with a win at Herrin on Thursday.

Marion scored three runs in the first inning as Amelia Browning and Kelly both plated runs, a rally started by Addi Wall drawing a walk and Bailey Long hitting a single.

Wall and Long both singled and scored in the second inning, when Kelley hit a sac fly and Bittle followed with an RBI single.

Bittle popped a run-scoring triple and scored on a hit by Presley Barnett in the fourth.

Cam Harre was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts.

MJHS travels to Herrin on Thursday then opens SIJHSAA Class L postseason play with the Marion Regional set for next Wednesday and Friday.
