MARION -- Bailey Long had three hits and scored three runs to lead the Marion Junior High School softball team to a 10-1 win over Benton on Thursday at the Crisp Sports Complex.

Karris Rhine had two hits and scored twice and Amelia Browning also scored twice for the Lady Wildcats.

Also collecting hits were Ava Wong, Jerzy Bittle, Addi Wall and Camryn Harre. Harre was also the winning pitcher with four strikeouts.

Benton's run came in the fourth when Addy Sellers singled and came home on a double by Ensley Tedeschi.

MJHS hosts Carbondale on Tuesday.
