The Harrisburg Post 167 American Legion team split a pair of games with Marion Tuesday night, losing Game One 13-2 and winning Game Two 16-6.
Post 167 is now 6-9 on the season overall and 3-5 in District 24 play.
In Game One, Harrisburg was held to three hits as Brody Walker picked up the loss.
Walker went four innings and allowed seven runs (five earned) on six hits, while striking out one and walking five.
Ben Byrd came on in relief and worked 2/3 of an inning, allowing six runs (two earned) on two hits while walking one and Sean Mondino allowed one hit.
At the plate, Dallas Reynolds, Josh Turnage and Noah Mayer each collected a hit. Kale Oglesby and Reynolds scored the two runs, while Dylan Schwartz and Justice Hill each had an RBI.
In Game Two, Harrisburg rebounded with 14 hits as both Josh Turnage and Brody Walker both hit home runs in the 10-run win.
Turnage was 3-for-3 at the plate with five RBI and one run scored, while Jordan Gould, Cameron Wendler, Dallas Reynolds and Justice Hill all had multiple hits. Wendler and Reynolds both scored two runs and each had two RBI. Gould and Hill each scored two runs.
Brody Walker, Ethan Ashby and Kale Oglesby all had one hit as Ashby drove in three runs and scored one run. Oglesby scored two runs and Walker had two RBI with one run scored.
On the mound, Dylan Schwartz picked up the win, working five innings and allowing five runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts and three walks. Dallas Reynolds went one inning and allowed one run on one hit.
Harrisburg is scheduled to play host to Mt. Vernon, Ind., tonight (Wednesday) at 6 p.m. and will close out the week Saturday at Evansville Funkhouser in a 1 p.m. game.
