After suffering a home court loss to the Murphysboro Red Devils, the Benton Rangers (27-2) dished out a little payback Friday night when they traveled to Murphysboro High School to rematch the Red Devils.
This time, not only did the Rangers earn a conference victory by a score of 49-41, they also clinched the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference championship for the first time in the program's history in the conference.
