Q. Did you get to do everything you wanted over the holiday break?
McKinney: I was wanting to get a new wardrobe and a perm before the break was over. Unfortunately, I didn't have time or money to do so.

Q. Would you rather lose your cellphone and all your contacts or $200 in cash?
McKinney: I would rather lose $200 in cash because my cellphone is my life line.

Q. What is your New Year's resolution?
McKinney: I wanted to achieve a driver's license and was able to do so right after the new year.

Q. Is there something special you plan to do or place to go in the new year?
McKinney: I would love to go on vacation to the beaches in Florida over the summer.

Q. Children today are much more technologically savvy than their parents and grandparents, but what downside, if any, do you see to that?
McKinney: I think that they are smarter than the older generations when it comes to computers and I often worry that they will not excel in face-to-face conversations as well as they could.
