Martha A. Burlison, 93, of Benton died at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at the Helia HealthCare in Benton.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton with the Rev. Ron Cremeens officiating. There will be no visitation; those attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or food, memorials in Mrs. Burlison's memory may be made to the Benton American Legion Post 280 and VFW Post, 311 S. Main, Benton, IL 62812, or to a charity of the donor's choice, and will be accepted at Morton & Johnston Funeral Home at any time.
Martha was born in Benton on July 7, 1917, the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Jedlicka) Krajnik.
She married Raymond Eugene Burlison, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1977.
Mrs. Burlison was a member of the Benton American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Burlison and wife, Patti, of Benton, and Dr. John Burlison and wife, Christy, of Benton; two grandsons, Dr. Jared Burlison of Albuquerque, N.M., and Raymond "Ramie" Burlison and wife, Vanessa, of Benton; one great-grandson, Raymond "Ramie" Burlison Jr.; and one brother, Frank Krajnik of Benton.
Mrs. Burlison was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister, Mary Krajnik.
