Muriel D. Cremer, 84, of West Frankfort, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at 11:01 p.m. at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with the Rev. Ron Cremeens officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1925, in Thompsonville to Archie Moore and Edith (Chance )Moore.
She married Warren Cremer on Jan. 7, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1944. She then married William Franklin Cremer on March 21, 1946, and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1985.
She is survived by four daughters, Beth Biggs and husband, Scott, of West Frankfort, Carla Pulliam and husband, Gene, of Benton, Sally Odle and husband, John, of West Frankfort, and Mary Mell of West Frankfort; one son, Richard Cremer and wife, Kathy, of West Frankfort; stepdaughter, Lynda Songer and husband, Dan, of Paducah, Ky.; 28 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; a sister, Shirley Bolin of Carlsbad, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; her first husband, Warren Cremer; her second husband, William Franklin Cremer; a son, David Cremer; a daughter, Janice Johnson; five brothers; and one sister.
